Education & Training
Our mission is to provide education, training, certification, technical information, and other relevant
resources for plant and facility engineering, operations and maintenance professionals. We train and
develop your corporate personnel to make them more productive, and to make the workplace a safe
place. We offer courses to receive certification in Plant Management (CPS), Maintenance Management (CPMM), and Plant Engineering (CPE). Our safety training reduces injuries, saves lives and protects property.

New York Chapter 4 [Long Island] of The Association for Facilities Engineering YEAR 2018 SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFICATION. Send your printed PDF applications to:
Chapter 4 New York, the Long Island chapter of the Association for Facilities Engineering [AFE] is offering a $5,000 scholarship to a deserving individual who is enrolled as a full time student in an engineering or engineering technology curriculum at an accredited community college or university. A committee of appropriately qualified members of AFE Chapter 4 will evaluate applications and award the scholarship to the best-qualified applicant.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to apply for the AFE scholarship, the applicant must be a full time student, or a part time student with a course load of at least nine  semester hours. The applicant must sustain a course load of at least nine  semester hours throughout the application and award process, to the completion of the semester during which the scholarship is awarded, to be eligible to receive the scholarship.
EVALUATION CRITERIA: Each applicant will be evaluated based upon the following weighted criteria:
1. Academic credentials - considers all college transcripts and academic honors, and comprises 50 per cent of the evaluation.
2. Academic community involvement - considers participation in academically oriented clubs and extracurricular activities, such as technical information seminars, round tables, tutoring of other students, etc., and comprises 10 per cent of the evaluation.
3. Financial need - considers the capability of the student to pay for his or her education, and is based upon a brief written description of the student's financial responsibilities and obligations, together with that student's ability to pay. In addition, this criterion will consider a written essay by the applicant of at least 300 words but no more than 1,000 words, which will explain why the applicant believes he or she is deserving of the scholarship. This criterion comprises 40 per cent of the evaluation.
THE AWARD: The scholarship will be presented in the form of a check for $5,000 payable to the successful candidate and the university, together with a framed certificate, attesting to the award.

1. Proof of event attendance
2. The name of the event
3. The date of the event
